Brown seaweeds are rich in carotenoids and fucoxanthin that are responsible for their brown colour, brown seaweeds do not bleach in the sun, fucoxanthin protects against oxygen free-radical damage, a major cause of disease and aging, wrinkling. Fucoxanthin has 13.5X more activity than vitamin E in tests.
